Addis Ababa City Administration has signed a contract with developers to build 100,000 houses under a 70/30 Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to address the urgent housing shortage of residents. The construction of this 100,000 houses project, which will benefit middle-income residents, will begin within two months. Mayor Adanech Abebe said that the long-standing demand of residents to address the housing shortage cannot be answered by the government alone, so we are working to address the problem by involving sincere investors and implementing new methods. Mayor Adanech Abebe, who indicated that the city administration has prepared sufficient land for the housing construction project to be built through a public-private partnership, stated that the city administration will closely monitor the construction process to complete the construction in a short time and ensure the benefit of our people.
